„Renovatio regni <\/em>Francorum“ <\/em>war das Motto der Regierung Heinrichs II. Sie stand in offenem Gegesatz zur „Renovatio imperii <\/em>Romanorum“ <\/em>seines Vorg\u00e4ngers Otto III., die mit der Hinwendung zu Rom verbunden war.<\/p>\n

„Renovatio regni <\/em>Francorum“ <\/em>bedeutet\u00a0so viel wie die Erneuerung des fr\u00e4nkischen Reiches. Nun habe ich ja Heinrich II. ja schon l\u00e4nger auf dem Plan was den Umbau, bzw. Neuerrichtung der Laurentiuskirche angeht. Wintergerst hat f\u00fcr die Translation der Bartholom\u00e4us Reliquien entweder Otto III. od. Heinrich II. angepeilt und in Regensburg wei\u00df man das Heinrich II. die Kirche wieder herstellen lies.
\nUnd zwar a fundamentis<\/em>, wie es in den Urkunden heist. In den \u00dcberseztungen wird das ganze oftmals mit „von Grund auf renoviert“ \u00fcbersetzt, da in anderen Quellen die Rede davon ist, das die Kirche ruin\u00f6s war.<\/p>\n

Es ist aber wohl so, zumindest wird das in der neueren Forschung angenommen (siehe „Die alte Kapelle , Hg. Werner Schiedemair), das die Kirche wirklich von den Fundamenten aus neu gebaut wurde und zwar dem urspr\u00fcnglichen Grundriss folgend. Also genau das was in Trebur der Fall ist. Lieder ist Regensburg nur wenig mehr erforscht als Trebur…<\/p>\n

Von Heinrich II selbst wissen wir das er eine starke Verbindung zur Kirche hatte und sie auch baulich gef\u00f6rdert hat siehe Bamberger Dom, St. Emeram Regensburg…<\/p>\n

Nun stellt sich mir die Frage in wie weit der Begriff der „Renovatio“ w\u00f6rtlich zu nehmen ist und er entsprechend die alten fr\u00e4nkischen Kirchen hat renovieren lassen um damit ein Zeichen, ein Symbol zu setzten. Wahrscheinlich wusste man zu jener Zeit noch wer die Kirchen hatte erbauen lassen, vielleicht gab es entsprechende Weiheinschriften, die auf die Karolinger hinwiesen.<\/p>\n

Eigentlich m\u00fcsste man dazu s\u00e4mtliche von Heinrich II. gebauten und renovierten Kirchen statistisch Erfassen und entsprechend auswerten…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
